Example: an app records and approves a purchase request. Power BI reads the prepared data by department. A manager exports a cut for an Excel scenario. Define the official source and who may change it.
When the real problem is underneath
If the store, CRM and spreadsheet show different totals, align dates, identifiers and definitions before choosing a screen. Data integration can serve both reports and operational apps.
Test before replacing
Choose one representative task. If preparation consumes time, automate the inputs. If the issue is chasing status, test a workflow. If it is an occasional analysis, a spreadsheet may be enough.
